Whether we admit to it or not, most of us have the capacity to get tunnel vision. Even when we believe that we are open-minded, we still have habits and beliefs that keep us stuck in the same limiting mindset, unable to reach outside whatever bubble we have created for ourselves.

One of the ways in which the internet and the ways it entertains us can be a good thing is that it opens us up to the possibilities and perspectives we might otherwise ignore. At times, it would probably be better if we could have stayed ignorant of them, but other times, it can be refreshing to find some kind of humor that opens our minds up. 

This isn't going to mean that every single meme that you come across has some ground-breaking revelation attached to it, but it does offer the possibility that one might show you a new direction every so often. It's worth a try.
